In an episode of McLeod's Daughter she got her TV debut. Her debut major role was a recurring character in the Sci-Fi television series The 100. Based on the novel series that had the same name the show was an adaptation of a TV show. The character she played was Commander Lexa an imposing chief of the 12 clans. The horror TV drama Fear the Walking Dead increased the popularity of her character. This show has been hailed by critics and winning numerous prizes. Jigsaw Girl as well as The Branch are among the short films in which she's appeared. Her debut feature film was the disaster film Into the Storm, which featured found footage. It did very well commercially, even though the reviews were mostly negative.
